I am a mosaic artist currently living in Texas. I moved here from Minnesota over 20 years ago.
In 2001, after 11 years as a cnc programmer, I decided to take the leap and Follow My Bliss! (I would like to note that I had no idea what My Bliss would be at the time). I started experimenting with mosaics after a few months, and discovered that it was totally in alignment with another passion of mine: RECYCLING! The following year I discovered a local granite supplier in the Austin area who said I could salvage as much granite and marble as I wanted from his dumpsters. You would not believe what they throw away! Several of my tables, floors and the park bench were made from this "waste" material.
